A Micro Four Thirds sensor at 16MP doubles the effective focal length of any lens mounted on it, so telephoto reach comes cheaply in both size and money and wide-angle coverage costs more of both. It is the smallest of the three formats here, and the systems built around it are correspondingly compact.
